Background

Established in 1919, Kewpie is Japan’s leading salad dressing manufacturer and one of the world’s largest producers of mayonnaise. A century later, Kewpie remains a beloved household brand in Japan, with its products now available in over 60 countries and regions worldwide. In 2024, the company reported a global sales revenue of approximately USD 3 billion.

To further expand its presence in China, Kewpie established Nantong Kewpie Food Co., Ltd. in 2017. The facility specializes in producing egg-based products, long-life salads, and premium food vinegar. It's Kewpie’s third major production base in China, following those in Beijing and Hangzhou.
